John Odendaal's outstanding leadership concludes

As Pannar Seed enters a new chapter with the appointment of Lukas Meyer as Business Manager, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank John Odendaal for his outstanding leadership and contributions to the business over the past 40 years. 

Under John’s guidance, Pannar Seed has grown and evolved through a period of significant change in South African agriculture. From the introduction of new technologies and advanced breeding techniques to the strengthening of Pannar’s product portfolio and market position, his leadership has played a key role in shaping the business we know today. 

Throughout his tenure, John has remained deeply committed to Pannar’s core values – honesty, integrity, professionalism, and always standing by farmers. His focus on delivering real value through strong customer relationships, trusted advice and practical support has left a lasting impact on both the business and the farming communities we serve. 

As part of the leadership transition, John will continue to support Lukas Meyer until his retirement at the end of April, ensuring continuity and a smooth handover. His legacy, leadership and example will continue to guide Pannar well into the future.
