Pannar soybean cultivar, PAN 1644R, produces an excellent yield in the Eastern Cape

Soybean cultivar PAN 1644R produced an excellent yield at Sitrusrant Boerdery at Cookhouse in the Eastern Cape.

Klaas van Wyk, agronomist for the area, says PAN 1644R (MG 6.7) yielded better than opposition cultivars. In a trial on the farm, the average yield of all the cultivars was a good 5.43 tons per hectare. The new early cultivar, PAN 1515R (MG 5.0), performed best in the trial with a yield of 6.43 tons per hectare. PAN 1521R (MG 5.7) and PAN 1555R (MG 5.7) also performed very well.
