Kerry Rowlands, Pannar's agronomist in KwaZulu-Natal, recently helped our research team harvest our Impact trials at Bergville.

The Impact trials are used to evaluate and identify new potential cultivars. Kerry explains that each trial plot of 6m x 4 rows is harvested separately with a specially adapted New Holland harvester. The grain mass is weighed, and moisture content is determined. This allows us to evaluate each hybrid accurately.
